During this 2 hour workshop, you will practice the 10 steps covered in the CGC exam, and will have a chance to work on any areas where you are having difficulty. There will be scheduled CGC Test (cost $25) to follow this workshop. You are not required to take the Prep Workshop to take the test - please email TAMIam@training-spot.net to reserve a testing slot. Started in 1989, the CGC Program is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. 

The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test will receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club. The 10 exercises covered in the exam are - Greeting a friendly stranger Sitting politely for petting Grooming (allowing Evaluator to run a brush down the dog's back and touch his or her paws and ears) Loose leash walking Walking through a crowd Stay Coming when called Reaction to other dogs Reaction to distractions Supervised separation
